My husband and I came here today for breakfast. My husband ordered eggs with biscuits and gravy and I got eggs with American fries and toast. Everything was cooked perfect! We could watch the cooking process which is always exciting. Our food was fresh and tasty. We will be back and we will try to come in at different times to try different meals! Keep up the great job!

Nutshell: perfect diner experience with tasty diner fare, fair prices, and a nice local feel (whether you're local or not). I recommend it for breakfast/brunch.
Diners, who doesn't love a good diner?! George's is the epitome of a mom and pop shop. I wanted breakfast on a late sunny Saturday morning and the boyfriend said this was the place to be. We must have hit just after the brunch rush, because it was only us and one other patron. Super small joint with about 10 stools wrapping around the griddle. Both employees were friendly enough and kept our coffee cups warm. I went with the Breakfast Special #1, because all good breakfasts should have a number. My plate consisted of two eggs over medium, american fries, bacon, and toast. The eggs were exactly how I liked them, just the right amount of goo for a couple of good toast dips. The bacon, likewise, was good and crispy. The american fries (aka thinly sliced, fried potato-y goodness) were a very nice change from your average hash browns. I'm sure the amount of butter in everything swayed my taste buds, but everything was very very good. I snuck some bites of my companion's pancakes. I will be getting my own stack the next time I go back! Plate sized, mid-fluffy disks of deliciousness. Two meals, two coffees, and an OJ totaled just under $20. Absolutely no complaints there. The only con was a strange odor, almost gas like that every now and again you'd get a whiff. Its definitely worth a stop in, even if its a bit of a drive. -

Excellent breakfast and excellent service. A real local place with solid basic breakfast, cooked fresh directly in front of you. Clean, polite and friendly. Limited seating and no tables or booths. Might be cash only. A lot of older working guys on a Saturday morning and waitress/cook seemed to know everyone. Just a nice experience. Looked like they had good biscuits and gravy as well.

This is a true old school diner. 2 high tops seating 4 people and maybe 16 bar stools around the counter. The people couldn't be friendlier and everyone there seemed to know each other as well as the owners and staff of the diner.
I had an omelet and hubby had eggs, hash browns and sausage patties. We also tried the biscuits and gravy just because we thought we should.
The food was good and it's always nice to watch your food being prepared right in front of you. I'd have to say however, that the biscuits and gravy weren't my favorite just because I like a thicker gravy....
I saw a burger prepared while we were there though and I'd love to go back and try some lunch options the next time we are in town.
A wonderful neighborhood diner! -

Its like cheers. Everyone knows you, and what you like. Awesome food, very reasonable. Love Janice and Liz. They make a killer sloppy joe once a week, and their chocolate pie is fantastic.
